Winnie the Pooh would have to be one of the best stories for children that's ever been told. The stories are made up of 9 characters who live in the 100 Aker Wood. They go on adventures together and have fun in each other's company.

The main characters are:
  • Pooh Bear, who is a yellow bear that wears a red t-shirt. He loves spending his time either eating honey or thinking about it.
  • Christopher Robin is the only human in the stories. He lives on the hill at the top of the 100 Aker Wood and goes on the adventures with everyone else.
  • Piglet is a little pink pig who gets scared easily and says "Oh, dddear" alot. Piglet and Pooh are best friends.
  • Eeyore is a sad, lonely donkey who has no fixed address and a tail that always falls off. I guess you could say he likes his own company and is happy by himself.
  • Kanga is, of course, a kangaroo. She lives in the 100 aker wood with her son.
  • Roo is Kanga's son. He likes going on adventures with the other animals and Christopher Robin and he also likes playing in his sand pit.
  • The owl on Winnie the Pooh is wise and sensible. Strange enough, his name is Owl.
  • There is a grey rabbit, called Rabbit, who loves spending time in his garden and talking to his beetle friends, Small and Alexander Beetle. Rabbit is serious, grumpy, happiest when left in his own company and he absolutely hates being bounced on!
  • Then there's tigger. Tigger is an energetic and fun tiger. He bounces people and loves to do what Tigger's do best!

The Winnie the Pooh stories began in the early in the 1900's. In 1926 the second book, "The House at Pooh Corner", was written by A.A. Milne and illustrated by E.H. Shepard.
"The House at Pooh Corner" is an adventure of Pooh bear and the other characters. There are also poems and coloured pictures. It's a great book to read, so if you love Pooh bear, then read it!
